MG Acoustics was formed in November 2009 to provide acoustical solutions for industry, government, and academia.
Mike Stinson and Gilles Daigle were senior members of the former Acoustics & Signal Processing group at the National Research Council of Canada. Their research at this government laboratory was broadly-based and includes technical areas such as beamforming with microphone arrays, acoustics of the human auditory system, sound propagation outdoors, and the acoustical properties of porous materials. Much of the work was done in association with clients from industry and other government departments. In 2009 they formed MG Acoustics, a scientific consulting company. MG Acoustics is able to meet the needs of industry and government departments and provide acoustical solutions.
